Permits and Concessions
Temporary use permit / Leisure Zone – Eastern Quayside:
Documentation to be provided by the applicant.
1.- Application addressed to the Chairman of the Alicante Port Authority, providing the following information:
- Applicant company.
- Purpose of the application.
- Planned activity.
- Number of days required, date and times the event will be held.
- Surface area required.
- Type of facilities required (electric generators, posters and signage, stages, marquees, etc.).
- Any other information required to obtain the Permit.
2.- Bank guarantee or deposit paid in cash or by cheque. The amount will depend on the project. This deposit must cover liability for any damage that might be caused to the area, and any additional cleaning required after the end of the event, and must be deposited with the Alicante Port Authority before the event is set up (the amount will depend on the type of event and the elements to be installed).
3.- Insurance policy that covers the public liability of the authorised company and APA for a minimum insured amount that will depend on the type of event.
4.- Written List of Responsibilities duly completed and signed, according to the attached model.
5.- For events and activities such as shows and exhibitions, and any other kind of act that requires one because they generate risks that can affect the safety of the installations or the people attending them, an Emergency Plan for Temporary Installations used for public purposes must be presented to the Port Authority.
6.- All the documentation required for the concession of the temporary permit must be presented to the Alicante Port Authority the date of the event, or before the installations are set up at least 15 days beforethe date of the event, or before the installations are set up.
7.- The electrical installation must comply with current provisions according to the MIE-BT regulations and in particular the additional instructions 025, 026, and 027, and must cover the energy supply required; therefore a sound-proof electrical generator must be installed, capable of supplying the total power required by the installation and emergency equipment, presented to the Port Authority.
8.- Written list of all the people and vehicles taking part in the set-up of the installation, attaching their ID numbers and registration numbers respectively, as well as the days and times at which set-up is to take place.
9.- Payment for the temporary occupation of the Public Domain space must be made in advance and in full..
10.- Copy of the applicant’s National Fiscal Document (N.I.F).
Permits in the Port / Goods Area – Western Quayside:
Documentation to be presented by the interested party together with the letter of application:
a) Accreditation of the legal status of the applicant or the members of the community or entity if the latter does not have legal status.
b) Receipts accrediting that the applicant is up to date with fiscal and Social Security obligations imposed by current legislation.
c) Basic Project* which shall include:
- A description of the activities to be carried out and, if relevant, their timeframe.
- Characteristics of the installations.
- Size of the public domain area in the Port to be occupied or used.
- The estimated budget of the installations.
- Any other specifications deemed necessary by the Port Authority.
* It must be signed by an authorised technician when the project involves setting up installations.
d) Economic and financial information about the activity to be carried out.
e) Receipt accrediting the provisional deposit of 2% of the budget if required (Guarantee Model (3) )
Concessions in the Port / Goods Area – Western Quays:
Documentation to be presented by the interested party together with the letter of application:
- Basic Project* which must include:
Description of the activities to be carried out.
Characteristics of the building work and installations, according to the Management Plan.
Possible environmental effects.
Environmental impact study, if required.
Size of the public domain area in the Port to be occupied or used.
The estimated budget of the building work and installations.
Any other specifications deemed necessary by the Port Authority.
* It must be signed by an authorised technician when the project includes carrying out such work. * The project must be adapted to the approved Special Port Space Organisation Plan, or the Utilisation Plan.
- Economic-financial report of the activity to be carried out in the concession, if public services are provided or commercial or industrial activities are developed.
- Fulfilment of specific conditions to carry out the activity covered by the concession.
- Provisional guarantee for the equivalent of two percent of the budget for the building work and installations required for the concession, with a minimum of 3,000 euro (Guarantee Model (4) )
- Documentation accrediting the legal status of the applicant or the members of the community or entity if the latter does not have legal status.
- Receipts accrediting that the applicant is up to date with fiscal, labour and social obligations required by current legislation.
- Accreditation of the economic, technical and professional solvency of the applicant to fulfil the obligations resulting from the concession.
- Any other relevant documents and accreditation.
